It’s Movember and time to focus on men’s health. To show my commitment, I’m donating my face to the cause by growing a moustache for the entire month of November, and need your support. My Mo will spark conversations, and no doubt generate some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for prostate cancer male depression.

Good morning everyone – just want to do another wee plug for this very generous offer given to us from Andrew Barling from the Otis Foundation to pay for 14 people to attend this Gala Ball. This offer is for any Brave Hearts member and partner who would love to go and have a wonderful time in Melbourne – maybe you could car pool and share accommodation. It looks to be such a fabulous night of good food, entertainment and dancing and is supporting such a great cause and we are so lucky to have Andrew think of us and financially help us to attend functions like this. Attention!!! Names now needed for Falls creek, 28/29 Jan '12. Please let us know asap if you are intending to be part of this fun weekend. The theme will be BABIES, bring a dummy ( the one you've always wanted to spit)! and a baby photo!
Sunday Training   - 5 to be on the water no later than 5.30. This is a 1 and a 1/2 hour session 
 Sunday Easy Paddling - 5 to be on the water by 5.30  

If you want to race at any of the regattas, including Falls Creek in Jan and our own BHs in Feb, then you need to be coming to training now. Each week the intensity is increasing, so you need to get in now so that you can keep up. So please make the effort.
*Wednesday training 
Arrive 5.30 to be on water no later than 5.45/6 for a 1 hr session
 
We need expressions of interest for suggestion of extra training session Fridays at 5.30pm, or, Saturdays 8AM
 
We have some exciting developments happening in this region of Northern Victoria and Southern NSW - that being a state representative dragon boat team will be assembled in this region to compete in the National Dragon Boat Championships in Melbourne this coming Easter. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals to this area to be able to represent their state and train in this area instead of travelling to Melbourne.
Michael Dooley of Brave Hearts has been appointed Head Coach of this Victorian Northern Regional State Dragon Boat Team by the Victorian Dragon Boat Association and he is calling for an assistant coach and team manager to assist him so teams can then be selected.
