The Brave Hearts Wig Library is one of Brave Hearts on the Murray flagship projects. Initially, Some we successfully started a wig library at the Murray Valley Private Hospital in order to provide modern, fashionable wigs for hire at an extremely affordable price, to any woman who was diagnosed with cancer in our region. It proved that having access to an affordable wig during hair loss caused by cancer treatments, increased self-esteem and coping mechanisms during this difficult time.
The library is fully funded by Brave Hearts and run by volunteers, and offers an extensive selection of wigs, wraps and headwear.
Brave Hearts Wig Library’s permanent home is now the Wellness Centre at Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. Opening hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm.
