MELBOURNE AMAZING RACE

The Yarra River Dragons have been approached by the ‘Melbourne Amazing Race’ to take part in their annual event on Saturday 25th October 2014. The event attracts 1000 competitors who must choose eight of 11 possible activities from a clue sheet provided to them on the day. Dragon boating will be one of the events that the participants can take part in. Given that the use of DBV boats will be required, YRD has approached us to see whether DBV will support the event and invite other clubs to participate. DBV can gain significant marketing and media opportunities through this event for all clubs.
Approximately 250 teams of two people are expected to take part in the dragon boat component across a four hour window. DBV will provide Sweeps, safety and technique briefings and two strokes per boat free of charge.
