2025 - Greg Reif

Greg has played a significant role within Brave Hearts since joining in 2011, consistently demonstrating unwavering support for our organisation. Over the years, his commitment and dedication have made a lasting impact on both our members and the broader community.

Known as a quiet achiever, Greg is always ready to offer an empathetic hand to anyone in need. His actions, often carried out without fanfare, have made a real difference in supporting fellow members and fostering a culture of care within the club.

In his early days with Brave Hearts, Greg was a respected paddler, actively participating in dragon boat competitions. He represented our club at numerous regattas, including the prestigious Club Crew World Championship held in Adelaide, where his dedication and sportsmanship stood out.

Greg stepped up to become our very first Club Captain, excelling in the role. As a role model, he fostered a positive environment and earned a reputation as a highly regarded ambassador for Brave Hearts.

He was a respected safety officer at our community dragon boat regattas and competently continued that role at this year’s Mother’s Day Classic.

He never hesitated when asked to step up and be secretary of Brave Hearts on the Murray Inc in 2018. Since then, his secretarial skills have been so respected, valued and highly appreciated. His role on our committee has constantly shown his dedication, excellent communication skills and a never-ending commitment to our organization’s mission and values
